About

The gap nobody
is building for

Most legal tech in India is built for corporate legal departments and law firms. That's the industry's own working definition of who it's for. We build for everyone else: the professional trying to judge an AI's output, and the citizen trying to get a case filed.

Why we exist

Access, efficiency, information, democracy.

Those four words are the whole mission. We build software that gives people access to things that used to require money, connections, or specialist training; that makes existing work faster and less error-prone; that puts clear information in front of people instead of behind paywalls or jargon; and that, in small, practical ways, makes systems fairer and more accountable.

That's not a slogan for us, it's a filter. Before we build anything, we ask whether it moves the needle on one of those four things. If it doesn't, we don't build it.

The problem, plainly

Settled law. Public forms. No bridge.

In states like Bihar, the judge-to-citizen ratio is one judge per 100,000 people. The law is settled and the forms are public. What's missing is the bridge between a citizen's plain-English grievance and the structured document the system demands: a drafting and navigation problem, not a legal-reasoning one.

At the same time, professionals who lean on AI daily are rarely taught where it fails. Both gaps are solvable with the same kind of tool: software that does the specialist part so people don't have to become specialists themselves.

How we work

Two verticals, funded by real work.

Tools first

LearnWithLacuna is free AI critical-thinking training for professionals worldwide, no subscription required, live today. Self-representation AI agents for citizens are coming next.

Client work alongside it

We take on a small number of client projects and collaborations, the kind of work that funds the free tools and keeps us building. If that's what brought you here, get in touch.

Practical over flashy

We'd rather ship something plain that works than something impressive that doesn't.

Small team, direct work

No layers between you and the people actually building. When you reach out, you talk to us.

Open about what's real

Our Tools page only lists what's actually live, or honestly labeled as in progress. No vaporware.
